Message From Handicap Secretaries
There are some new rules that apply from 31st March 2022.(1) The Handicap Index will be Mandatory on the Scorecard. The computer should do thismostly but it's important to always check. It is recommended that the Course Handicap andthe Playing Handicap would also be on the scorecard but these two are not mandatory.(2) If a score is pre-registered but not submitted there is now a process whereby Golf Ireland can impose a penalty score on your Handicap record. Championship Course Update
With effect from Monday February 21st the 1st tee will re-open for play.The 13-hole course in play will be holes 1-8 and 14-18 from this date. Holes 9-13 will be closed during this period. This will be reviewed again at the beginning of March.It has become necessary to open a temporary green on hole 8. This is a temporary measure to allow the green recover from severe pitch-mark and insect damage.
