DIAGEO Winter League 2012/13

|  SECTIONS & LEAGUE TABLES  |  FIXTURES   | 

Format

• Four-Ball Matchplay v Par.
• Teams of Two (cannot play with last year’s partner).
• 11 Teams per Section - 6 teams to qualify for final from each section.
• Each team play 10 Qualifying Rounds over 9 Holes on the Main Course & Bomore.
• Final Day: 18 Holes on Main Course for Qualifiers & Non-qualifiers.
• Dates: October 21st; November 4th & 18th; December 2nd & 16th; January 6th, 20th & 27th; February 3rd & 17th, March 3rd
• Postponed rounds will be re-scheduled for the following Sunday.
• FINAL: 10th March 2013
• Entry Fee: €50 per person - Includes Presentation Dinner .
• To enter a member must be fully paid-up (2012) and 18 years or older.
   

To Enter

• Enter names in the entry sheet on the men’s notice board.
• Put fee, €100 per team, in the envelope supplied. (Envelopes are available beside the Competitions’ computer.)
• Write names on the envelope and post in Competition's Box.
• Single names accepted - Partners will be organized where possible.

Prizes

• Best score on each course for every round (Day Prize).
• A team can win one “Day Prize” only during the competition.
• Section Winner.

Winter League Dates -Revised Schedule of Fixtures( as @ 10/1/13

To accommodate all fixtures that are required to be played before the Winter League Final, scheduled for the 10th March (weather allowing), there will be two additional Sundays required to the schedule already published. The full revised schedule is as follows: 20th January, 27th January, 3rd February,17th February, 3rd March.
Pending the publication of the full named schedule of matches, times and courses for each of these Sundays a table is published below which sets out in numerical format the matches to be played on the revised schedule for all 5 Sections. This is being done to allow members plan ahead in the context of these revisions.
At the commencement of the Winter League your pairing was allocated a number in your Section as published on the club notice board and web site. Please note a pairing allocated no 5 with a draw eg. “0 V 5 “ on the 20th January means pairing number 5 have a free Sunday on that date. Equally the pairing number 4 has a free Sunday on 27th January. Pairing no.3 is free on 3rd February. Pairing no. 2 is free 0n the 17th February and pairing no. 1 is free on the 3rd March.

Qualifying Rounds

• Format: Four Ball - Match Play v Par on Main Course or Bomore.
• Handicap: 3/8 of Handicap.
• Winner: Better v Par score over 9 holes.
• Score: 1 point for a Draw - 3 points for a Win.
• All matches must start on time.
• Scorecards must be completed and returned.
• Players must enter results on the record sheets in the Bar.
• All Matches must be decided on the Course.
• A team that is late on the tee-box forfeits the match with 3 points to opposition.
• A substitute may be allowed, at the discretion of the competitions’ committee, when a player withdraws from the competition.
• Postponed matches will be re-scheduled for the following Sunday.
• Entry fees must be paid before start of the competition.
• Top 6 teams, from each section, qualify for the final.
• In the event of a tie, .

Final Day - March 10th 2013.

• Format: v Par over 18 holes on the Main Course. 
• Competition for Qualifiers & Non-qualifiers.   
• Presentation Dinner - March 10th at 7.30pm - Including prizes for Section Winners.

THE COMMITTEE'S DECISION ON ALL MATTERS IS FINAL.
