House guests

GOLF pro Francis Howley gave the warmest of welcomes to Co Sligo’s team in their recent match at Carton House.

But there was nothing given away by the Co Kildare club’s youngsters in their match  against the Point last Thursday. They proved to be tough opposition and came away victors 7-3. Winners on the day were Cian Feeney and Tom O’Hara. David Brady and Ben Rooney halved! Boys golf convenor Kevin Flanagan was immensey grateful for the hospitality extended to the team by Francis Howley who, of course, is from Rosses Point and a former member of Co Sligo.
