The golfing highlight of the Ladies Section in Rosses Point is the Lady Captain’s Prize. This year’s Lady Captain, Pat O’Connell, presented her prize in the clubhouse on Saturday night last, July 24th. The weather on the day started a little gloomy but picked up wonderfully and the players on the course enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The winner was Gay Hynes with a great score of 70 nett. The day concluded with a buffet meal in the clubhouse followed by the presentation.
Next week we play for the President’s, Mr Joe Gannon., prize to the ladies. The competition will be played on Tuesday 27th and the time sheet is on the notice board in the locker room.
Open week in the club starts next week also and all particulars are to be found on the club website.
